Every new entrepreneur want (or at least dream) in having profit in the first month of operation. Depending of the nature of your business, you will only see some profit after a year or more! That's why most businesses close their doors before their first year of operation.
To open a business and have profits, you have to think the way around. What that means? Well, research the neighborhood where you want to open your business. See if there's a real necessity to open the line of business you thinking of in that particular area. Watch the surroundings, like the direction your business will face, the traffic of people and automobiles, easy access through public transportation, proximity to schools, clubs, supermarket, etc (depending of course the line of your business).
Another advice to make money: Don't be too optimist! Thinking about how much money you going to make is easy, but think about the costs too. Take the following list for example:
- Initial investment (purchase or leasing of materials, equipments, raw material, furniture)
- Costs (electricity, gas, water, rent, payroll, taxes, insurance, other operating costs)
- General expenses;
And the factor that will make you successful - Experience! Without it, your business will not survive, trust me.
